A Music Therapy World Conference was organized by the Department of Music at Kalai Kaviri College of Fine Arts, Tiruchirappalli, in collaboration with Indian Music Therapy Association(IMTA), Bangalore and Nada Centre for Music Therapy, Chennai. This three-day world conference is being held on December 1, 2, and 3, 2024.
The conference saw participation from music researchers, enthusiasts, and artistes from India, Sri Lanka, and Japan. Indian participants hailed from various states, including Assam, Odisha, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat, Haryana, Kerala, Telangana, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Uma Maheswari, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Vocal Music, KKCFA.
