Internal Quality Assurance Cell

The Composition of the IQAC may be as follows:

  1. Chairperson: Head of the Institution
  2. A few senior administrative officers
  3. Three to eight teachers
  4. One member from the Management
  5. One/two nominees from local society, Students and Alumni
  6. One/two nominees from Employers /Industrialists/stakeholders
  7. One of the senior teachers as the coordinator/Director of the IQAC
  8. Term: Two years

Meetings: At least twice a year

Functions of IQAC

  • Developing and implementing quality benchmarks/parameters for different academic and administrative activities at the institution
  • Enabling a learner-centered environment that promotes quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the necessary knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning processes.
  • A plan has been established to receive feedback from students, parents, and other stakeholders about institutional processes that are related to quality.
  • Information on different quality parameters of higher education is being disseminated
  • Promoting quality circles and organizing inter- and intra-institutional workshops, seminars on quality-related themes.
  • The documentation of the various programs/activities that lead to quality improvement.
  • Serving as the Institution’s nodal agency for coordinating quality-related activities, which includes the adoption and spread of best practices.
  • The purpose of developing and maintaining institutional databases through MIS is to maintain/enhance institutional quality.
  • Creating a culture of quality within the institution.
  • The Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) should be prepared in accordance with the guidelines and parameters of NAAC and submitted to NAAC.

Strategies

IQAC is responsible for developing mechanisms and procedures for:

  • Ensuring that academic, administrative, and financial tasks are performed on time, efficiently, and with progression.
  • The importance and excellence of academic and research programs
  • Academic programs that are affordable and accessible for all segments of society.
  • Modern methods of teaching and learning that are optimized and integrated
  • Credibility in evaluation procedures
  • Keeping the support structure and services in good shape by ensuring their adequacy, maintenance, and functionality.
  • Collaborating and sharing research with other institutions in India and abroad
